PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-voltage generating device improved in its discharging performance. SOLUTION: A high-voltage generating circuit 3 comprises a series circuit of a first rectifier circuit 32 and a second rectifier circuit 33, a first condenser 34 is connected between an input terminal 31a and a common connecting point of the series circuit of the first rectifier circuit 32 and the second rectifier circuit 33, and a second condenser 35 is connected to both ends of the first rectifier circuit 32 and the second rectifier circuit 33, and is also connected to an output terminal 31b. An output signal line of a rectification control circuit 36 is connected to both rectifier circuits 32, 33, and the rectifying direction is switched in accordance with the output control signal.
