PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire wherein maneuver stability and comfortableness are simultaneously enhanced by imparting anisotropy to modulus of elasticity of a specified part constituting a tire and making the modulus of elasticity in a specified direction larger than that in a direction perpendicular to the specified direction. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire is provided with: a carcass 1; a belt 5 positioned at a radial outer surface of a crown part C of the carcass 1; and a triangular pad 10 of which the axial inner side area is positioned between a side area of the belt 5 and the carcass, and extends from the end of the belt 5 to the outside along an outer surface of the carcass. The triangular pad 10 comprises a tire rubber composition in which 2-8 pts. wt of vinylon short length fiber fibrillated during mixing, based on 100 pts. wt. of rubber component.
