PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sunshade device of an outdoor installation type, which does not hinder use of a balcony and saves time and labor in maintenance thereof. SOLUTION: The sunshade planting device P equipped with movable sunshade planting panels 10, 11 is arranged in the balcony 6 adjacent to a room 2 of an apartment block 1. According to the sunshade planting device P, a plurality of supports 9 are fixed to a spandrel wall 7 of the balcony 6 by means of anchors. The sunshade planting panels 10, 11 are retained by the two adjacent supports 9, and limited in terms of transverse and longitudinal locations. The sunshade planting panels 10, 11 are vertically movable along the supports 9 between a location higher than the spandrel wall 7 and a location lower than the same. Further the sunshade planting panels 10, 11 have panel-type heat insulating members 14, 18 arranged outside the panels, and panel-type planting members 15, 19 in which plants are grown, respectively.
