PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stretch loop yarn having large stretchability and bulky effect and excellent in strength and durability. SOLUTION: The stretch loop yarn is obtained by twisting a composite yarn 1 obtained by excessively entwining a float yarn 1b round a core yarn 1a and winding a holding yarn 1c round the float yarn 1b and having a series of loops 10 by the float yarn 1b with a stretchable yarn 2, and the stretchable yarn 2 comprises a spandex filament yarn 2a and the core yarn 1a of the composite yarn 1 is composed of a polyamide fiber.
