PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence of troubles such as step-out of a motor when a groove shape is engraved by using a tool. SOLUTION: In the groove shape cutting method for forming the groove shape by cutting a workpiece by the tool, the tool cuts the workpiece in the depth direction of the groove shape to be formed on the workpiece while selectively and repeatedly moving a 1st moving route on the workpiece and a 2nd moving route finely shifted from the 1st moving route in the surface direction of the workpiece and the groove shape is formed by the 1st moving route and the 2nd moving route which are cut by the movement of the tool.
