<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floating body for cleaning water with which a continuous cleaning action can be expected only by suspending a water permeable cleaning package housing a water cleaning material in the water, a long-term lasting cleaning action can be obtained by a simple maintenance for replacing the water cleaning material along with a package and uniform water cleaning effect can be expected with respect to the surface area and depth of rivers or the like by the length of suspension stripes for suspending the package of the water cleaning material or by the parallel suspension of the suspension stripes with respect to the surface area of rivers or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The floating body for cleaning water is equipped with a floating body 1 floating on the water and the water permeable water cleaning packages 3 housing the water cleaning material 2 are suspended in the water from the floating body 1 through the suspension stripes 4 and the suspension depth of the water cleaning material 2 in water is set by the lengths of the suspension stripes 4.
