PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape-shape static eliminator which can be set in a narrow space or a gap, and also, does not cause a discharge shutdown even in the case the static potential difference is less than around 700V. SOLUTION: The tape-shape static eliminator (specifically, a tape-shape ion generator of a static eliminator 10) has a discharge electrode 14 for ion generation on a narrow and thin mounting tape 12. A plurality of the discharge electrodes 14 are arranged, each discharge electrode 14 set in parallel to the mounting tape 12, and a discharge end of each discharge electrode 14 is faced to one direction to irradiate ions from one side of the mounting tape 12. High voltage (for example, more than several KV) is impressed on the discharge electrode 14, so a cover tape to cover the discharge electrode 14 is preferable to be provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
