The roller skate guard for a park bench has a steel tube welded onto its edge to protect the paint and-or galvanising. The steel tube has spaced gaps along its length to prevent a skate blade from fitting onto the edge of the bench and sliding, to dissuade skaters from suing it as a grinding ramp.
