The system includes a predetermined number of circuits (C1-C16) to be interconnected. Each circuit includes an optical transmitter (E1-E16) and at least one optical receiver (R1-R16). The transmitter on a circuit board transmits a wavelength appropriate to the circuit concerned. An optical coupler (CE) connects the transmitter of each circuit to all the receivers of the other circuits. Each circuit has identifying address information.
