PURPOSE: A fuel injection system and a method for controlling the same are provided to uniformly distribute gas to each combustion chamber through the injector, while preventing an incomplete combustion. CONSTITUTION: A fuel injection system comprises an intake manifold(1) for guiding the air flowing through a turbo charger(3), an intercooler(10), and a throttle body(11) toward an engine(2); a gas rail(4) connected from a fuel unit(20) in such a manner that each side surface of the gas rail is coupled to the intake portion of the intake manifold and combustion chamber of the engine; an injector unit(6) mounted on the gas rail so as to correspond to the position of the combustion chamber of the engine, wherein the injector unit supplies gas to the air flow channel; and a controller(30) for controlling the turbo charger and the injector unit.
