DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DETECTING DEFECT OF PALLET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect lack of nailing strength or falling of nails in nailing parts of upper and lower deck plates of a wooden pallet. SOLUTION: A wooden pallet W while being conveyed is positioned in a predetermined location. While the pallet is lifted from the predetermined location, a probe movable frame 14L is inserted in an air gap of the pallet W. An upper probe 15U provided to the inserted probe movable frame 14L presses the upper deck plate and a lower probe 15D presses the lower deck plate. The pressing is applied from the inside to the outside of the air gap of the pallet W, and the displacement between the upper and lower deck plates is inspected for detecting a defect of the pallet W.
