PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic damper of a simple structure and easy to attach to a structure. SOLUTION: A piston 5 is movably provided in a cylinder 3. A piston rod 7 is provided on one surface of the piston 5. A first oil chamber 9 and a second oil chamber 11 are formed by the piston 5. A relief valve 15, a check valve 17 and an orifice 19 are provided in the piston 5. A spring 13 is provided in the first oil chamber 9, one end of the spring 13 is fixed on the cylinder 3 and another end of the spring 13 is fixed on the piston 5. The first oil chamber 9 and the second oil chamber 11 are filled with operating oil. The operating oil in the first oil chamber 9 is compressed to generate load only when the piston 5 moves from a rod side to a head side. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
