<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dehumidification apparatus for compressed gas with improved regeneration efficiency by preventing temperature fall of an adsorbent with stored heat and lowering relative humidity inside an adsorption cylinder in a regeneration process, and also with improved adsorption efficiency by preventing temperature rise of the adsorbent and raising the relative humidity inside the adsorption cylinder in an adsorption process. <P>SOLUTION: The dehumidification apparatus for compressed gas has a pair of adsorption cylinders 3 and 4 for filling an adsorbent 17. In the apparatus, moist compressed gas is introduced to one side of the adsorption cylinder, and the gas is adsorbed, dehumidified and dried. In the apparatus, one part of the dried gas is introduced to the other side of the adsorption cylinder, and regeneration for desorbing moisture from the adsorbent wherein hygroscopicity is lowered at the previous stage and purging is performed at the same time. In the apparatus, the adsorption and regeneration are alternatively switched between both adsorption cylinders, and the dried gas is continuously supplied. The adsorbent with which each adsorption cylinder is filled contains 30 wt.% or more of copper in alumina gel, silica gel or the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
