PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin folding cellular telephone provided with a built-in antenna having high gain in various usage states. SOLUTION: An upper case 1 and a lower case 2 are rotatably connected together at a hinge 3. A plate conductors 4 and 5 are provided along the case surface within the upper case 1. A ground plate 6 is constituted by a ground pattern of a circuit board provided within the lower case 2. The plate conductors 4 and 5 are selected by a high frequency switch 14 to be connected to one end of a power supply 15. The other end of the power supply 15 is connected to the ground plate 6 to constitute a dipole antenna. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
