<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer setting device and method eliminating the need for a user to make complex settings while capable of quickly dealing with setting problems; and a storage medium. <P>SOLUTION: The printer setting device includes a means for inputting data on a PC by a user; a means for receiving the data by a WWW server; a means for server displaying a screen to urge the user to input again by the WWW; a means for determining whether or not the data received by the WWW server is correct; a means for creating a setting file by the WWW server; a means for encrypting the contents of the setting file; a means for transmitting the setting file; a means for acquiring setting software from the server; a means for decrypting the setting file; and a means for setting the contents of the setting files into a device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
