PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain an acid-group-containing polymer contributing to proton conduction form eluding into a liquid.
SOLUTION: A monomer generating polybenzimidazole is dissolved into a polyphosphoric acid. Phenylenesulfonic acid polysulfide (an acid-group-containing polymer), for instance, is further dissolved into the solution. Here, the acid-group-containing polymer and the monomer absorb each other by acid-base interaction. If the monomer is polymerized by dehydration condensation or the like in this state, polybenzimidazole is synthesized, and at the same time, the polybenzimidazole and the acid-group-containing polymer get dissolved to each other to generate a co-dissolved polymer. If the polymer is made precipitated as a solid matter, and separated from the polyphosphoric acid, a co-dissolved polymer is obtained. By molding it in a given shape, a proton conductive solid polyelectrolyte 10 is produced as a final product.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
