<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition excellent in dispersion stability and preservation stability of dispersion and excellent in ejection stability, and a method of inkjet recording. <P>SOLUTION: This aqueous ink composition contains colored fine particle dispersion containing an oil soluble dyestuff, a hydrophilic organic solvent and a surfactant of which content is 0.5-5 mass %, and has 25-35 mN/m dynamic surface tension.
