PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid dynamic-pressure bearing capable of coupling a thrust plate to a shaft by pressure stably and highly accurately even when the thrust plate is extremely thin and has a small guide coefficient. SOLUTION: The fluid dynamic-pressure bearing has a cylindrical fixing element 12 that is inserted into an axial hole formed in the shaft 4 and fixes the thrust plate 9. The outer diameter of this fixing element 12 is set larger than minimal inner diameter of the hole. Therefore, the fixing element 12 widens the shaft 4 at the insert position, generates radial pressurizing force, and fixes the thrust plate 9 to a predetermined position of the shaft 4.
