PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a high resolution without changing the clock frequency of a PWM IC for imaging. SOLUTION: In the image formation apparatus 100, a printer controller 1 packs data of 2 pixels in a main scanning direction of image data of a resolution of 1,200 dpi into one pixel of an output at a resolution of 600 dpi. Position data indicating the position of "black" of the packed data of 2 pixels, and pulse data showing an image density are inputted synchronously with a 600 dpi clock to the PWM-IC (IC for PWM) 5. The PWM-IC 5 generates a PWM signal which has a pulse width corresponding to the pulse data and is outputted to a position corresponding to the position data. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
