PURPOSE: A call connection method in a multi-mode mobile terminal is provided to connect a WCDMA call by using paging messages of a CDMA2000 network. CONSTITUTION: A multi-mode mobile terminal consists of an RF part(10), a CDMA2000 modem(20), a WCDMA modem(25), a CPU(80), a codec part(30), an audio part(40), an LCD(50), a keypad(60), and a ROM(70). The RF part(10) executes RF modulation for a signal received through an antenna, adjusts it at a proper level, and outputs it to the CDMA2000 modem(20) and the WCDMA modem(25). The CDMA2000 modem(20) executes the location registration of a terminal to a CDMA2000 network. The CDMA2000 modem(20) receives the RF signal outputted from the RF part(10), demodulates the audio data and various information data loaded on the carrier, converts the modulated audio data and information data into digital signals, executes vocoding for the converted digital signals, and outputs them to the CPU(80). The WCDMA modem(25) executes the location registration of a terminal to a WCDMA network. The WCDMA modem(25) receives the RF signal outputted from the RF part(10), demodulates the audio data and various information data loaded on the carrier, converts the modulated audio data and information data into digital signals, executes vocoding for the converted digital signals, and outputs them to the CPU(80).
