PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expanded wall paper which is comprised of an expanded layer formed of uniform expanded cells and having a smooth surface, wherein the expanded wall paper is excellent in chemical resistance, abrasion resistance, and stain resistance, and has stable scratch-proof properties and stable workability. SOLUTION: The expanded wall paper is obtained by laminating the expanded layer and a protective layer which are formed of an ethylene resin, on a wall substrate in this order. The protective layer is formed of polyethylene having a density in the range of 0.935 to 0.950 g/cm<SP>2</SP>inclusive of both ends, and a thickness in the range of 5 to 20μm inclusive of both ends.
