This invention relates to the R enantiomer of bambuterol. The invented compound exhibits both bronchospasmolytic activity with reduced undesired cardiac effects, and lipid-lowering activity. The invention also relates to novel synthesis routes for obtaining the compound and other pure enantiomers of phenylethanolamines. |
