<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which further expands the sound image positioning technique to make a listening person feel, as if a positioned sound image were moving freely. <P>SOLUTION: According to the technique about at least two possible sound image positioning to obtain a positioned sound image of an input signal, the difference between delay parameters and the difference between gain parameters at mixing among sound image moving parameters are obtained in the respective frequency bands at the two positions, the time taken for moving the positioned sound image from one point to the other and the change quantity of the difference between the parameters per unit time in this time are obtained as sound image moving parameters between the two positioned points, the delay difference and the gain difference at one positioned point are changed in the moving time according to the sound image moving parameters, and other sound image moving parameters at the other positioned point than the delay difference and the gain difference are replaced with sound image position parameters at this point to generate a sound giving a moving feeling. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
