DEVICE AND METHOD FOR RESETTING INK-JET PRINTER

PURPOSE: A resetting device of an ink-jet printer and a method thereof are provided to reset the system of the ink-jet printer, and to prevent breakage of the driving unit by outputting the disablement signal in detecting the over current of a driver circuit with an over current detecting circuit. CONSTITUTION: A resetting device of an ink-jet printer is composed of a power reset circuit(220) outputting a reset signal in supplying unstable voltage to the ink-jet printer; a control unit(130) resetting the system by receiving the reset signal from the power reset circuit; and an over current detecting circuit(230) applying the reset signal through the reset signal output line of the power reset circuit to the control unit by detecting over current in a driving unit, and resetting the system. The over current detecting circuit has a reference voltage generating unit generating reference voltage by receiving direct current voltage, and a comparator outputting the reset signal by comparing the reference voltage from the reference voltage generating unit with the voltage from over current of the driving unit.
