PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize more flexible and higher level of distributed processing than a conventional simple load distributed system for WWW servers. SOLUTION: This distributed system is constituted of a plurality of computer resources 10 for application task processing and network resources 11 distributed on a network. A task evaluation system 1 which manages the kind and the amount of resource required for a plurality of application tasks for each application task, and a performance evaluation database 2 which stores information representing performance of each of a plurality of resources set up in connection with a plurality of application tasks are provided. In compliance with the input request for processing of application task, the task evaluation system 1 refers the management content, grasps a plurality of resource combinations allocatable for the processing of application task, refers to the content of the storage of the performance evaluation database 2, and decides one combination of resources to be assigned to the processing of application task from a plurality of grasped resource combinations.
