<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible ribbon cable or a flexible flat cable which is simply and inexpensively manufacturable. <P>SOLUTION: The flexible ribbon cable or the flexible flat cable comprises at least one signal wire buried between at least two nonwoven fabric layers, the nonwoven fabric layer comprises only polyester fibers, polyamide fibers, polyolefin fibers, syndiotactic polystyrene fibers, or polysulfone fibers and/or glass fibers, and by filling pores between fibers or filaments of the nonwoven fabric with a binder, dielectric strength of at least 500 V and/or dimensional stability of only the dimensional change of 0.05% maximum are/is obtained after the elapse of 24 hours at 140 °C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
