IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which the number of cycles for removing discharged toner is reduced by greatly increasing the amount of discharged toner to be stored in a discharged toner collecting container having a constant capacity compared with a conventional case.

SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with: an electrifying means which electrifies an image carrying body; an exposing means which forms an electrostatic latent image on the image carrying body by conducting exposure corresponding to inputted image data; a developing means with which toner is absorbed to the electrostatic latent image; a transferring means which is used to transfer the toner image to a transfer material; a fixing means which fuses the toner image formed on the transfer material to fix the image; a cleaning means which removes residual toner on the image carrying means; and a discharged toner collecting container which stores the residual toner collected by the cleaning means as discharged toner. The image forming apparatus is also provided with a heat transmitting device which is used to transmit heat being discharged from the fixing means to the container.
