PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To broaden the latitude of variation in manufacturing of a solid-state imaging device and improve yield. SOLUTION: In each pixel the solid-state imaging device has a photoelectric converter, an input terminal of an amplifier, a transfer switch for transferring electric charge from the photoelectric converter to the input terminal, and a reset switch for impressing reset voltage on the input terminal. The transfer switch is turned on while the reset switch is on. After the photoelectric converter of the all the pixels is reset at once in a reset period 8s by inputting each pulse signal in the reset switch and the transfer switch, optical charge is accumulated to the photoelectric converter. After the accumulation period is over, the optical charge accumulated to the photoelectric converter of each pixel is read outside the pixels in each line in the readout period 8a, 8b and the like.
