PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector capable of easily releasing the locked state of a connecting terminal inserted in a housing, and a locking arm provided at a rear holder, through an aperture formed at the housing. SOLUTION: When pulling out the connecting terminal 2 mounted in the housing 3, the rear holder 4 is moved into a temporary engaging position from a proper engaging position, and a tool 51 is inserted under the front lower face of the locking arm 45 from the aperture 37 of the housing 3 to bend the locking arm 45 outward to thereby release engagement with the connecting terminal 2.
