<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a link destination screen display method capable of pop-up displaying a proper page by condition retrieval even when a link destination is a top page. <P>SOLUTION: A Web page displayed at the present is inspected to extract a hyper-linked URL, and whether this URL is of the top page or not is determined. When it is of the top page, a keyword is reported to a retrieval engine to request a retrieval, and the most suitable page of the top page and lower layer pages thereof is determined as the link destination.
