METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING HOME APPLIANCE, HOME APPLIANCE, AND GATEWAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system by which home appliances 2 are safely controlled from the outside of a house by a controller 3 without registering controller identification information in a gateway 1 by bringing the controller 3 in the house. SOLUTION: Authentication information and verification information are preliminarily generated, the authentication information is stored in an authentication data generator 4 and the verification information is stored in the gateway 1. When the controller 3 attempts to perform communication with the instrument 2 in the house, authentication data is generated by using the authentication information in the authentication data generator 4 connected with the controller 3 and the authentication data is verified by using the verification information in the gateway 1. In addition, the gateway 1 restricts communication between the controller 3 outside the house and the instrument 2 in the house while the authentication data generator 4 is connected with the gateway 1. In addition, the gateway 1 changes an address of the instrument 2 in the house while the authentication data generator 4 is connected to it and stores an address after change in the authentication data generator 4.
