PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide image display particles which are easily charged to positive and negative polarities, are sufficiently charged and can easily fly and move in an image display device which displays images by sealing one or more kinds of such particles between a transparent substrate and a counter substrate, applying an electric field to the particles from two electrodes having different potentials and allowing the particles to fly and move, and to provide the image display device. SOLUTION: The particles are prepared by melting and mixing one or more kinds of resins selected from an acryllic resin, methacryllic resin and styrenic resin, coloring agents and a charge control agent and pulverizing and classifying the mixture.
