PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste water treatment method which can reduce the running cost and can drastically reduce the amount of the precipitate to be subjected to disposal treatment. SOLUTION: The waste water treatment method, which performs the denitrification treatment of the nitrogen component in water to be treated by an electrochemical technique and subjects the phosphorus component in the water to be treated by reacting the nitrogen component with iron, repeats a first treatment step for discharging the water to be treated after the treatment allowing the precipitate to remain, then a second treatment step for adding the water to be treated before the treatment of the precipitate to the precipitate, and regulating the water to be treated to a strongly acidic area, thereafter a third treatment step for at least partly immersing a pair of electrodes into the water to be treated and subjecting the nitrogen compound in the water to be treated to the denitrification treatment by the electrochemical technique, and a fourth treatment step for forming the precipitate by adding a pH control agent for controlling the pH of the water to be treated to an alkaline direction into the water to be treated.
