The lamp (1) consists of LED (2) surrounded by at least partly-transparent, light scattering body (3). The LED and body are firmly connected such that LED is in direct contact with body. Pref. the light scattering body is of hot adhesive. The LED is let into body on its heating-up. Typically the use of hot adhesive as body provides the close, firm connection, thus forming a single component. The body may be of various colors and/or with different patterns and may be of different shapes.
