This invention refers to a corkscrew of the type incorporating an arm that rests on the rim of the bottle, with this arm being joined to the handle of the corkscrew in an articulated manner. The corkscrew proposes the incorporation of a means of coupling the handle to the arm to ensure stability in any chosen position during the useful life of the corkscrew. For this purpose, grooves are arranged in a circumferential alignment on the inner faces of the lateral branches of the arm, concentric to its swing axis with respect to the handle, with the transverse spring being replaced by a pair of toothed washers joined to each other, which become the aforementioned lateral branches. <IMAGE>
