Cold work steel comprises (wt.%) carbon (0.6-0.85), silicon - aluminum (at most 1.5), manganese (0.1-2), chromium (3-7), molybdenum-tungsten (Mo+W/2) (1.5-4 with tungsten being at most 1), vanadium (0.3-0.65), niobium (at most 0.1), titanium (at most 0.1), zirconium (at most 0.1), cobalt (at most 2), nickel (at most 2), and balance is iron and impurities.
