PURPOSE:To obtain a threading lubricant for faucet excellent in biodegradability while retaining its cutting ability and pipe washability and having no adverse effect on the ecological system, by incorporating a base oil composed of a synthetic ester oil and/or natural oil with biodegradable surfactant(s). CONSTITUTION:This lubricant is obtained by incorporating (A) a base oil having a biodegradability of 67% or higher determined by CEC method composed of (l) a synthetic ester oil (pref. trimethylolpropane tricaprate, pentaerythritol tetraheptanoate and/or (2) a natural oil such as lard oil or colza oil with (B) 0.5-30 (pref. 5-15)wt.% of biodegradable nonionic and/or anionic surfactant(s) (pref. polyoxyethylene alkyl ether, polyoxyethylene fatty acid ester). |
