ADAPTIVE CHANNEL ENCODING METHOD AND DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encoding device for a communication system which uses a channel encoder connecting convolutional codes in parallel or serial. SOLUTION: This channel encoding device comprises a first encoder which encodes information bits that are input; an interleaver which has a memory and an index generator to change the order of the information bits based on the set rules; a second encoder which encodes the output of the interleaver; first and second terminating devices which terminate input and output information bit frames of the first and the second encoders respectively; a tail bit generator which stores tail bits used for the frame termination; and a controller and a switch which control these processes.
