<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve allowing easy replacement of an existing valve with a new valve, dispensing with such complicated work as to cut water supply pipe and to attach a pipe joint with a loose flange thereto. <P>SOLUTION: A flange joint 6 is inserted in socket 3A at one axial end part of a cylindrical valve casing 3 through an elastic ring 7 formed of an elastic body such as rubber. A plurality of pressing bolts 10 are provided for pressing the flange joint 6 through a keep plate 11 and an elastic seal ring 7, radially piercing the socket 3A. The clamping strength of these pressing bolts is lowered to reduce pressing force loaded to a cylindrical part 6B of the flange joint 6 to thereby permit the advancing and receding movement of the flange joint 6 in the direction of an axis C1 to the socket 3A of the cylindrical valve casing 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
