PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bird damage preventing screen to be installed on a porch of an apartment house to surely prevent the intrusion of birds and enabling easy stretching and housing. SOLUTION: A sleeve case 110 is horizontally attached between two supporting rods 200, 200 fixed on a porch, etc. The sleeve case 110 is extendable and contractible in axial direction. The case 110 contains a winding shaft forced in the winding direction to wind a number of strings 130, 130 attached to the shaft 1 with equal spaces. The number of strings 130, 130 are pulled out under the case 110 from the winding shaft to form a rope-curtain hazard to prevent the intrusion of birds. The winding shaft and the connection rod 140 are extendable and contractible in axial direction and at least the outer circumferences of these members are elastically deformable in axial direction at equal ratio.
