<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relieve degradation of muffling effect caused by accumulation of water in a muffler, in a muffler for a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: This muffler 100 is composed of an inner pipe 110 having a muffling hole 111, and a muffler shell 120 covering its circumference. By forming the muffler shell 120 with a resin, the temperature drop of the muffler 100 in a cold time is restrained to prevent condensation of steam in the exhaust air. The condensation is restrained by installing a heater 112 in the muffler shell 120. A drain 122 for furthering drain of water accumulated in the muffler shell 120 is installed. The inner pipe 110 or the whole muffler 100 may be tilted so as to move the rear end of the inner pipe 110 downward. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
