摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embedded type optical irreversible circuit device having both of low insertion loss and a high reflection attenuation. <P>SOLUTION: In an embedded type optical isolator made to function by embedding an optical element constituted by superimposing incidence side polarization glass, a Faraday rotator and emission side polarization glass in the order in an optical path direction to the optical path of an optical fiber or an optical waveguide, a groove part to insert the optical element is inclined to an optical axis. The polarization glass on the incidence side and on the emission side of the optical element to be inserted is turned to a wedge shape for which a surface on the side of the optical fiber or the optical waveguide is inclined in the almost same direction as the inclination angle of the groove part and the surface in contact with the Faraday rotator is inclined in the direction opposite to the inclination angle of the groove part.
