PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display liquid for an electrophoresis display device in which particles are hardly flocculated, an electrostatic property is improved and driving voltage of electrophoresis is low by using a silicon containing compound which is generally not used as a surfactant. SOLUTION: The display liquid for the electrophoresis display device comprises an insulating solvent, at least a kind of positively charged particles in a dispersed state and the silicon containing compound in a dissolved state wherein the silicon containing compound is a compound (A) expressed by a formula 1 (in the formula, R<SB>1</SB>, R<SB>2</SB>, R<SB>3</SB>, R<SB>4</SB>respectively and independently represent an alkyl, aryl or alkoxy group which optionally may have a substituent).
