PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device for an internal combustion engine with a reserving tank in which cooling water is circulated and various kinds of heat exchangers to which the cooling water is supplied for utilizing heat generated in the internal combustion engine, suitably suppressing the lowering of warming-up performance of the engine and the lowering of heat exchanging efficiency of the heat exchangers. SOLUTION: The cooling device for a gasoline engine 1 comprises three cooling systems consisting of a main cooling pipe system 10 for cooling the gasoline engine 1, a subsidiary cooling pipe system 20 to which equipment is connected for utilizing heat generated in the gasoline engine 1 and a heater pipe system 30 to which a heater core 31 to be used for heating a vehicle room is connected. In the subsidiary cooling pipe system 20 among these, a throttle heater 21, the reserving tank 22 and an oil cooler 23 are connected in series via subsidiary cooling pipes 20b, 20c, 20d.
