PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plastic optical fiber primarily covered wire for which adhesion with a plastic optical fiber is high and a primary cover layer with excellent oil resistance and chemical resistance is constituted by one layer and which withstands use under a severe environment such as the use on a vehicle. SOLUTION: The plastic optical fiber having a fluorinated resin layer on the outermost layer is primarily covered with a resin composition composed of at least polyamide resin and maleinised polyolefin resin or the resin composition composed of at least the polyamide resin, maleinised hydrogenated diene resin and polyolefin resin.
