<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that intrinsic information such as various setting values in a firmware before being updated is not taken over to a firmware after updated due to procedures of turning off a power supply of a page printer controller first, removing an old hard disc drive and loading a new hard disc drive in a hard disc drive exchanging work at the time of updating the firmware. <P>SOLUTION: An interface 4 of the hard disc drive 3 is made an interface disconnectable also when a power supply electrifies, and moreover a power supply control circuit 5 for the hard disc drive 3 is set. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
