<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assessment support device and a method efficiently assessing the recycling efficiency and environmental load of a product in a design stage of the product by using the CAD data of the product for the assessment of the recycling efficiency and the environmental load. <P>SOLUTION: This assessment support device uses the CAD data for every product including the names of components, their quantities or their numbers for the assessment of the recycling efficiency and the environmental load of the product. This device is provided with a storage means storing component basic data expressing the types of materials constituting the components for every components and the masses or the densities of the materials included in the components, when the CAD data are input, this device finds the types of the materials constituting the components and the masses for every type of the materials for the component units included in the CAD data based on the component basic data, prepares component material data for every product including, at least, the names of the components, types of the materials constituting the components, and the masses according to the types of the materials, and uses them for the assessment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
