PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set necessary specifications in a microcomputer capable of facilitating countermeasures to a plurality of electronic equipment. SOLUTION: The plurality of terminals of a microcomputer are connected through an I2C bus to an E2PROM. A slave address is transmitted from a terminal A to the E2PROM. When acknowledge is returned from the E2PROM, the microcomputer judges that electronic equipment is a video deck, and sets the specifications of the video deck. When any acknowledge is not returned, the microcomputer transmits a different slave address from the terminal B to the E2PROM. When acknowledge is returned, the microcomputer judges that the electronic equipment is a television set, and sets the specifications of the television set. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
