A finger guard for a door covers the gap between the hinge side of a door 2 and a door frame 4 and comprises a strip of rigid material which is flexible about its major axis and is attached so that one edge is secured to the door and the other edge to the frame, and includes a fastener 13 along one edge such that two similar covers 9 and 11 may be secured together thereby increasing the effective width of the cover. The fastener may be a clip and may also include a strip of adhesive material. One strip edge may be formed in a T-shape (6, Fig 1) and may be positioned in a C-shaped housing (7, Fig 1) thereby allowing vertical movement with respect to the housing. The cover may be formed of a fibrous or fluted board material. |
