PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress fluctuating offset. SOLUTION: An interference light is converted into an electric signal, the electric signal is converted into a digital signal, and a difference DAn -DBn (24) between corresponding ones of digital signals DA1 , DA2 ,..., of first half period of one cycle and digital signals DB1 , DB2 ,... of the second half period of that of biasing modulation which provides phase difference of ±(nπ+π/2) to clockwise light and counterclockwise light is taken, to obtain an input angular speed information. DBn -DA,B+1 is calculated (47) to obtain offset, and then this is subtracted from corresponding DAn -DBn , for removing bias error. |
